Aruna Irani as Shanti and Khulbhushan Kharbanda as Suraj fall in love with each other. Due to some difficult circumstances, he has to leave Shanti mid way. Shanti gives birth to a baby boy while Suraj marries Tanuja who plays role of Ruchi. Shantis son grows up to be Amritraj and Gulshan Grover is Tanujas son.
