Here’s a look at the celebrities who got married either secretly, or in a hurried fashion to simply cover their pregnancy news; Actress Sridevi is the only actress in the Bollywood who publicly accepted the fact that she was pregnant before her marriage.When Sridevi announced her marriage to Boney Kapoor, she was, reportedly, seven months pregnant. The couple married in 1996 and their elder daughter Jhanvi was born a few months later.
Konkona Sen tied the knot with her long time boyfriend Ranveer Shorey in a private ceremony at the former’s residence in 2010. The couple soon announced that they were expecting their first baby and welcomed a baby boy in early 2011.
Sarika got pregnant with Kamal Haasan’s child. Hassan who was then married to Vani Ganapathy who took strong exception to their illicit affair. Irrespective of the state of their relationship, Sarika went ahead and gave birth to the lovechild, Shruthi Hassan. The two got married later on only to separate equally soon.
Anoushka Shankar conceived while she was dating British filmmaker Joe Wright, in a TOI report she said that “it wasn’t necessary to be married to have children”. The sitarist got pregnant in August 2010 and tied the knot a month later.
Amrita Arora’s hasty marriage announcement to beau Shakeel Ladak shocked many from the industries, many kept guessing what really prompted her to take the wedding vows in such a hurry. Amrita’s immediate pregnancy pretty much confirmed the reason of her sudden wedding.
Celina Jaitley secretly married her Austrian beau Peter Haag denying pregnancy reports. The actress who married the Dubai hotelier in July, 2011 delivered twin babies in March the following year.
Mahima Chaudhary’s wedding was very low and private affair. Soon after wedding news she announced her pregnancy. Everything happened a little too soon for people to assume she had fallen pregnant after marriage.
Rumours are rife that Veena Malik got pregnant with her ex-boyfriend which promted her to take the wedding vows in such a hurry.
Actress Mona Abegaonkar delivered a baby girl, out of wedlock. Grapevine suggests that Mona was seeing Dayanand Shetty on the sets of a TV show CID. An actor from the unit (requesting annoymity) offered, “Everyone believes that Dayanand is the father of Mona’s child. She has confided to her close friends. But he surely can’t confess, because he is married and even has a kid from his first wife.”
Neena Gupta‘s short lived affair with Windies cricketer Vivian Richards in the 80s made her pregnant. She delivered daughter Masaba and raised her as a single mother.
Nargis and Raj Kapoor acted together in a number of movies and their affair was the talk of the town. It was even said that the famous actress Dimple Kapadia was actually the love-child of the famous pair.
