Sidheshwari (Ashalata), the wife of a wealthy advocate lives in a joint family along with her three children; her good-for-nothing brother-in-law Chander (Amol Palekar); his wife, Sheila (Shabana Azmi), and their two children. Siddheshwari lets Sheila run the household without asking any questions. However, Siddheshwari’s peaceful household is struck by storm when her other brother-in-law Harish (Girish Karnad) moves in with his family. Watch to know what happens when Harish’s wife Naintara (Bharti Achrekar), starts spewing venom in Siddheshwari’s mind about Sheila.
